Hard Rubber (Ebonite) Linings for Corrosion Protection

Ebonite generally has superior chemical resistance to natural rubber. Excellent resistance to chlorine and the majority of aliphatic carboxylic acids. Operating temperatures up to 100°C.

Our Ebonite Range:

  • Graphited Ebonite
  • Flexible Ebonite
  • Low calcium content Ebonite
  • Food Grade Ebonite (FDA)
  • Ebonite formulated for Mercury Electrolysis
  • Ebonite formulated for agitators
  • Ebonite for Open Steam applications
  • Ebonite for contact with drinking water

Upon request, we can offer other types of Ebonite adapted to your specific needs.

Rubber Sheeting Extruder

Soft Rubber Linings for Mechanical and Corrosion Protection.

Soft Rubber is made of various elastomers. Soft Rubber compounds acquire additional properties after vulcanization/curing.

Natural Rubber (Various Shore Hardness Options)

  • Excellent abrasion resistance, Operating temperatures between -30° and 75°C, Resits the majority of inorganic chemincal products, except strong oxidisers such as chromic and nitric acids

Butyl (Bromobutyl/Chlorobutyl)

  • Good resistance against oxidising acids, bleaches and organic impurities. High impermeability against gases. Its absorption is the lowest among all types of rubber. Operating temperature for use is between -20° and 120°C.

Hypalon

  • Excellent chemical resistance against oxidising products, as acids and bleaches. Particularly ideal for hypochlorite solutions of any concentration. Operating temperature for use is between -5° and 120°C

Nitrile

  • Good stability against greases, oils, fuels and other non-polar solvents. Operating temperature for use is between -20° and 110°C

Chloroprene

  • Good resistance against non-oxidising acids and bleaches of medium concentrate. Good performance against ageing, the ozone and sunlight. Operating temperature for use is between -5° and 105°C.

Various Soft Rubber formulations are possible. Upon request, we can offer additional custom solutions.

Tiles are used in specific wear applications where:

  • Operating temperatures do not allow for rubber lining
  • The nature of the wear is more suited to Ceramic protection
  • A chemical resistant rubber membrane is to be protected

We offer Ceramic materials from trusted local suppliers.

Acid/Alkali resistant bricks (>40mm) are used to protect installations. The following materials are available:

  • Ceramic
  • Carbon
  • Silicon Carbide
  • Basalt
  • Volvic Lava

A range of mortars are available to suit a wide range of operating environments:

  • Furanic
  • Phenolic
  • Polyester
  • Vinylester
  • Epoxy
