Fabrication/ Refurbishment
Whether new, or items that need lining replacement, we'll make sure the substrate is in good condition to allow for a quality lining application. We work with various fabricators and engineering shops who understand the specifications for Rubber Lining.
Surface Preparation
This includes the removal of existing lining material, grit blasting to specification and/or grinding to ensure the substrate is in good condition to achieve a Superior Bond.
Adhesive System
In order to guarantee the quality of our solutions it is key for us to ensure the correct Bonding system is used for the specific material. Within our workshops we use Autoclaves wherever possible, as the steam pressure provides best in class bonding.
Finishing and Final Inspection
Throughout the process, we carry out in-line quality control. A Final inspection includes Shore Hardness testing (After vulcanization), Rubber Thickness as well as a Visual Inspection.
Moulded Rubber Items
Through local and international partners we are able to provide various moulded rubber items. We actively engage with customers to understand their operating environments and to best gauge where improvements in modularity and ease of replacement will have the most impact. Recently we've introduced moulded cyclone spigots to the Welkom mining industry with improved life and reduced risk of blockages.
Moulded Polyurethane Items
We are also currently testing various applications where moulded polyurethane could potentially offer better life than current solutions. Through our partners: H&M Technologies and the Garay Group, we have access to excellent R&D teams who are hard at work behind the scenes to ensure our customers have access to the best solutions.
Surface Preparation
In order to guarantee a quality solution, careful surface preparation is key. Whether applying to Metal or Concrete our attention to detail in preparation reduces the risk of failure in any application.
Bonding Systems
Working with a wide variety of materials and both metal and concrete substrates, we have access to both local and international bonding systems. Within the Group, we have access to chemical resistant mortars: Furanic, Phenolic,Polyester, Vinylester and Epoxy.
Wear Resistant Ceramic Tiling
In areas where rubber is not suitable we also offer ceramic tiling as an alternative. Due to thermal extremes and/or abrasive environments with specific angularities and particle sizes ceramic tiles can be a viable solution.
Anti- Acid Bricking *Coming Soon
In areas where both Abrasion and Corrosion challenges are faced, we often recommend a combination of Rubber lining and Anti-Acid Bricking. Where the rubber forms an impenetrable membrane while the bricks protect the membrane from both mechanical or thermal shock.
