Encompassing 4500m2 covered area, and housing a complete service to recover rollers for the Industrial market up to a maximum 5tonne, 1800mm diameter and 4m long. It consists of a rubber, polyurethane and small print and engineering workshop with approximately 54 people. The facility was first incorporated in 1999 servicing Arcelor Mittal and now services Gauteng, Free State, Mpumalanga, and the Northern Provinces. Its main focus is on the steel and packaging industries backed up with international technology provided by its technology partners, Hannecard and Mitex.

The Pietermaritzburg site houses two operations: The Paper division and Compound manufacturing.

The Paper facility is the only manufacturing site in Africa capable of servicing the Pulp & Paper Industry in Africa. It provides rubber, polyurethane and thermal metal spray coatings specially formulated for P&P applications and can handle rollers up to 40tonnes, 1800mm diameter and 5,5m long. There are approximately 22 people who are specialists in the field of paper roller coverings, providing value added services such as grinding, cambering, grooving, balancing and drilling.

The Millroom mixes majority of the rubber compounds using formulas specially specified for the different applications in the roller industry. It can produce up to 300 different compounds. Compounds range in terms of hardness, color and operational requirements.  In addition, it imports specialty compounds from its technology partners such as ESA.

Cape Town is the smallest of the facilities but probably covers the largest range of rollers: from very small to large industrial rollers. It consists of rubber and polyurethane sections with approximately 32 people servicing a diverse set of customers.

Tecnocoat is a speciality thermal metal spray operation primarily focused on the Pulp & Paper Industry, but recently penetrating into the industrial market. Its main benefits are corrosion, high temperature and wear resistance together with refurbishment of surfaces back to dimensional tolerances. It uses High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) to apply the metal matrix but can also provide metal arc and metal spray options. It is located at Pietermaritzburg where a well trained and experienced team can offer both workshop and in-situ work. Together with its associate in France, Pikoasur, it can provide a range of solutions to a wide range of issues.
